Outdoor Classrooms

We are lucky to have a variety of beautiful, engaging and accessible outdoor classrooms. They include ponds and wetlands, stringybark forest, open woodland, and a deciduous poplar forest (the Magic Forest).  Our school grounds include 300m of Cox Creek, where the Heysen walking trail passes through a long-running community creek rehabilitation project. A fire in 2013 affecting approximately 9 hectares of forest has provided opportunities for students to learn about how the Australian bush recovers given the right conditions.
