Management

The school has a range of policies that assist its management and these are supported by the Arbury Park Outdoor School Council. The Council is strongly involved in management of the school and works collaboratively with staff on school development priorities, land management strategies and staffing issues. As the school has no permanent parent community the Council has been specially constituted and draws its membership from a range of organisations including:

  • Department for Education
  • Adelaide & Mt Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board
  • Local school member
  • Local community members
  • Local parent representative
  • Adelaide Hills Council
  • Arbury Park Outdoor School staff representative

A Chairperson and Treasurer are elected from this membership (excluding Arbury Park Outdoor School staff). There is a Finance sub-committee including non-council school staff that reports through the Treasurer at each School Council meeting.
