Healthy food choices

Arbury Park Outdoor School provides full catering for the duration of a camp program. We ask visiting students and staff not to bring any food to camp (including lollies and snacks). It can place students with serious food allergies at risk.

Trained catering staff prepare menus according to time of year and the duration of the camp. We encourage healthy food choices that comply with the Right Bite Healthy Eating Strategy program. That is, mostly green and amber rated foods, with plenty of fresh unprocessed foods. Wherever possible students choose components of their meals from a selection, encouraging them to try foods new to them, while minimising food wastage.

Special diets

Catering staff are trained in preparing menu options for special diets including diabetic, gluten free, lactose free, halal, and vegetarian.

To alert us of any special dietary requirements there is space on the Catering Numbers form to list individual’s names and requirements. The Individual Dietary Requirements form can be used to provide dietary management details for an individual.

To discuss any particular dietary concerns and special requirements, please contact the Arbury Park Catering Manager on 8339 3237.
